“Our stay at this wilderness gem was amazing. Everything from the ease of booking reservations, directions to the place which is pretty far off the beaten path, sparkling clean cabins with new fresh linens and all the creature comforts a lady needs. The new owner/operators were very generous with their time and made us feel like we were at home with them. Their family really has the gift of hospitality down! We explored places they told us about and showed us around with lots of extra attention. If you want to experience paradise on earth, fish, hunt, canoe, hike, bird and animal watch or just rest and relax, this is it!! Great to disconnect from the outside world and remember what is important. You won't be disappointed. Our thanks and we can't wait to return very soon!”

“I spent a week working along the Nebesna Road and stayed at the Wrangell Mountains Wilderness Lodge. It was one of the best stays away from home that I’ve ever had. Mike and Victoria were the most friendly and accommodating hosts ever. I spoke with Mike before checking in and he provided me with a ton of great information I needed to make my week a great one. The accommodations are comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed during our stay. They are a wealth of knowledge on the local area and were a pleasure to chat with. I am looking forward to coming back with my family to share the amazing experience I had here. I can’t recommend the Wrangell Mountains Wilderness Lodge enough!”

“Victoria and Mike went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Stayed there for a work trip and they bent over backwards to make sure we had what we needed for both work and living. We were at the new Mountain Spruce Cabin for 3 nights, and I didn't want to leave! Idyllic setting, flowers everywhere, clean cabins,...we'll be back!”

“Mike and Victoria were great hosts. We were planning on doing a 3 day hike with our 5 month old, but ended up getting 6" of snow. They were able to take our group and dogs and set us up in a great cabin. Their local knowledge of the area is priceless and I recommend a stay.”

“Welcoming environment. Victoria and kids were great historians, great cooks, AND had great suggestions on what to do in the area. Food was delish and oh my goodness - the natural beauty. Don’t miss it!!! Cabins were cozy and generously furnished. I plan to return ASAP. Good for a quiet trip alone, for a week with family, or for sportsmen/hunters. Highly Recommended.”

“After our original plans fell through due to flooded creeks, we were lucky enough to get a cabin at Wrangell Mountains Wilderness Lodge. The cabin was great, the bed was comfortable and we felt very welcome by the staff and their family. It's a beautiful property with great views of the mountains. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!”

“Off the beaten path! Michael and Victoria are down to earth and aim to make the stay as relaxing as possible. My three year old loved borrowing Land Before Time dvds. Getting pizza and beer at the lodge was a nice bonus. Would love to stay again if we’re in the area.”

“We stopped here for 1 night during a road trip and had the best time! Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Michael, Victoria and family were so welcoming! Everything was so clean, and we would absolutely love to stay here again if we are ever find ourselves back out in this direction! You won’t be disappointed staying here!”

“We are a family of 4 with 2 boys and Victoria and her family were excellent hosts. The homecooked meals were incredible (Copper River salmon chowder, moose lasagna, desserts that would rival any 5 star restaurant!) and delivered each day for breakfast and dinner. Lunches to go were tasty and well prepared as well Victoria was super hospitable and answered all our questions and helped with anything we needed. Showering in the wilderness in the cute bathhouse with hot water was a luxury. A great place to stay as a base for day -hiking and fishing in the backcountry of the Wrangell St. Elias park .”

“Excellent! Michael opened the restaurant early for our cold wet hungry family on a rainy day of hiking. The pizza was great, the beer cold. Conversation about the history of the area, and Micheals family and travels was a highlight on our trip. Micheal on the fly whipped up nachos for our 7 year old that made her day. Highly recommend a visit. Thanks for the great hospitality; looking forward to a future visit.”

“We did not expect it to take as long as it did to get to the Lodge, as it is 28 miles off the main road, and the road had to be taken slowly. However, it took us through the beautiful Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve with a great view of the mountains. The Lodge is very isolated, and off grid, but worth it if that's what you're looking for! Very peaceful. The owners were very helpful in communications, and next door for anything we needed. Oh, and the three family dogs came to visit!”
